About Us

Who We Are:

David and Joyce Moore have been married over 40 years, born and raised in Johnson County, Kansas. They have one son, Scott , working and living in Buford, Georgia. They are an Interdenominational family who came to Christ in their twenties and have served with Youth For Christ, Campus Crusade For Christ, Christ For the Nations, YWAM and several main line denominations. All of this prepared them to take on an enormous task~ for such a time as this. God bless all who help them along their way and richly reward you and yours, In Jesus Name.

Joyce’s personal note:

“We are often asked why we would want to leave our family, careers, and homeland to spend the rest of our lives in Thailand. Our motive is simply that we are so appreciative of all that Christ has done for us. We would not be married today if it were not for Christ, we would not know how to parent, how to be good employees, good citizens, etc. All that we plan and hope to do now and in the future is in appreciation to Him. Also we want to finish well, not just barely running this race and barely crossing the finish line but to go forward with full speed ahead, to give God All the Glory…because life is but a vapor… In our international travels we discovered the sex tourism problem in Thailand. This was the place we would settle down in 2002, taking in teen girls at risk of exploitation and then later taking on teen boys we found in downtown Chiang Mai, homeless, hungry, and being sodomized for a bowl of rice. AH girls attend public schools but AH boys must learn a trade, as they were trafficked at an early age into sex slavery and most can barely read or write. AH also has a half way house for boys and men being released from various drug rehabs and prisons. AH is a soul winning ministry, not simply humanitarian. We do not receive a salary for our work in Thailand but live off our retirement.”

Our Mission:

Abba House Foundation exists for the express purpose of setting at liberty the pre and post captive sex slave HIV Children of Thailand, by the power of the Holy Spirit through the Love of Jesus for the Glory of God the Father. Providing housing, food, education and training in conversational English and Spiritual devotions. We are an evangelical ministry being obedient to the command of Jesus in Mark 16:15 saying “Go ye into all the world”.

Doctrinal Statement

We believe in the 66 books of the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, and fully authoritative Word of God.
We believe in the historic Christian doctrine of the Trinity, which is that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are equal in power and in glory.
We believe in the deity of Christ, the Son of God, His virgin birth, and His sinless nature. While on earth in human form He died on the cross, shedding His blood as a sacrifice for sin. Three days later He rose from the dead, and He is now exalted at God’s right hand. We believe that He will come again personally and visually to complete God’s plan.

We believe that all men have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. Salvation can only come through Christ. We are reconciled to God by Christ’s shed blood.

We believe that the Holy Spirit ministers to Christ’s church today, both corporately and individually to each believer. Through the Holy Spirit we can lead a godly life in this world which is under Satan’s dominion.

We believe that all true believers in Christ are part of one body which is His church, regardless of denominational affiliation.

Pray with Us:

Oh God hear my cry… in Jesus name Lord, you know and you see the unrighteous come out in the evening, you know how they howl like dogs and prowl the city, seeing whom they can devour. They think who will see us, who will know what we are doing in these dark places? But you, oh God, are omnipresent and omnipotent. You’re everywhere, seeing and knowing everything. I know their sins will find them out Lord. These Godless fools say in their hearts, there is no God, they are corrupt, they do disgusting things, they have reprobate minds, working abominations. These are the deeds of the unrighteous in Asia, Father God. The orphans feel forsaken and forgotten. Hear their cries of rescue oh Lord, they are trapped and held captive. Rise up the Spirit of intercession, Lord, and free them. These godless fools are selling their innocence to the highest bidder. They are the trafficked human beings made in your image.

For you are a God of justice establishing righteousness, breaking the plans of the enemy. Let justice rain down in Thailand, rise up and shine your light over all this land. For evildoers close in on these young girls and boys to tear them to pieces but I refuse to be afraid for them, instead I will trust and have confidence in you Lord. Hide them in a shelter from their troubles. I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, while you’re in the midst of bringing them out and to my door, to the Abba House door. For it is overwhelming to me, I’m helpless before this giant without you, oh Lord. Awake the church to pray God, show them the power of prayer. Rise up intercessors all across the world, Lord. Shouting and crying for your mercy to break the evilness of these pedophiles sneaking around to kidnap these children. Never to play again, never to laugh, never to see their families or go to school, just serving sex tourist day in and day out. Rise up Your church as a mighty bride, knowing her authority, making ready for your return and setting the captives free in your name. Let the name of Jesus be lifted up, higher and higher, Lord. Hear my prayer for mercy Father God, when I cried to you for help when I lifted my hands toward your most Holy place I remembered how you rescued my soul from hell. The Born-Again remembers Lord, when we were blind and in dark places. We cried out to you for help and you healed us. Oh Lord, you brought us up from the grave of sin and called us back to life.

You have changed our sobbing into dancing. Who are we Lord that you would do that for us? You have redeemed our souls from the pit of emptiness. You have redeemed our souls from death. You would that none would perish, for you are no respecter of persons. You can reach down into this pit and draw these abusers to yourself. For those who will not listen, Lord, righteous people will rejoice when they see their God take revenge, for you are a God who judges all the earth. Reveal yourself Lord, open up the heavens and heal Thailand.

Our Ministries:

Abba House Foundation is home to boys ages 8 to 22 who are at risk or have been trafficked in downtown Chiang Mai, Thailand. Left homeless and hungry, they are forced to sell their bodies for a bowl of rice. At times they are beaten up and tortured; some have HIV, few can barely read or write. AH teaches life skills such as construction, motorcycle repair, jewelry crafts for half the day. The other half they have Bible School education, Music and English. (New Life Annex Program)

Abba House Foundationhas found that some of these street boys and men have recently been released from various prisons finding themselves deserted. They walk five miles to the tourist scenes to try and find work but find HIV instead. AH has recently built a half-way house we call Freedom Christian Center (FCC) to offer shelter, life skills, a 2 year program of Christian life foundations and then job placement.

Abba House Foundation also reaches girls, ages 8 to 22, At Risk to the sex slave Industry of Asia. Some are orphaned (with parental death certificates as proof), daughters of working prostitutes, raped, abandoned or unwanted. At risk to falling into a life of forced prostitution but they are now safely in the care of Abba House. These children are given renewed hope, their lives forever changed through love, respect and education. They go to several different school systems in Chiang Mai depending on their needs. (Girls at Risk)

Note: Abba House has program groups that are taught to minister the Word of God at various outreaches such as schools, universities, HIV children’s homes, tribal villages, handicapped children’s homes, prisons, drug rehabs and elder homes. Several of these reached find Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, are water Baptized and mentored. Their goal is to become future evangelists of Jesus Christ in Thailand.
