Greetings to Friends and Partners

This month we are focusing on Abba House Church. Despite Covid restrictions we are still able to continue with Sunday Church services as our numbers are below 50. Recently three of our girls requested to be baptized. Pastor Francis did a bible study on baptism with them. They were baptized in our portable baptismal pool on our front lawn. They were encouraged by all their friends. Continue Reading

Abba House Foundation attaches great importance to facilitating the education of ‘At Risk” children. Our focus is on girls and most of those we care for come from Hilltribe areas, where getting even a minimum level of education can be difficult, poverty and distance from schools being two mitigating factors. They are often born into a poverty cycle, where because of lack of formal education and no particular skills training, it is difficult to gain entry into the job market. The result often is a cycle of teenage marriages, young parenthood and marriage breakups or being lured by ‘agents’ who promise good jobs in the city, but this usually leads to sex trafficking. This month we have a feature on our longest serving staff member Francis Bik

My name is Francis. I came to Abba House Foundation, after graduating from McGilvary Collage of Divinity, Payap University, Chiang Mai, in 2009. My primary purpose was to teach English, Bible and Music to the girls at the Foundation. Fortunately, God has provided many ministry opportunities to serve Him, through outreaches in Prisons, Juvenile Detention Centre, Different Abilities School, Senior Homes and more… But, in this newsletter I would like to focus on my involvement in the Prison Ministry. We found Gao at 14 years old in a downtown brothel, they use to give her a small salary but no more as her pimp’s drug addiction has grown and he was now out of control, he killed her eight years old brother because she refused to return to him, he swore he was going to kill all of us at AH if she did not return, she’s now a Christian and has a degree in tourism but with covid-19 she cares for aged people changing their diapers, she is happy to do this for all that Christ has done for her. Also pictured in the back is Nan and Bee, two of our precious staff members, once our kids now grown, studying for a B.A. in English online at AH-Thailand.

Linda Zuniga visiting David and I back in the day has recently graduated from Pepperdine University in CA, getting a doctorate in Jurisprudence. If we ever raise up a Human Traffic shelter in the States, Linda has agreed to manage it pro-bono. AH is looking for a motel default in mid-Florida, to be a shelter for Trafficked girls. Linda speaks Spanish which will come in handy when abused girls from Cuba, Mexico and the Caribbean are bought and sold in this state and needs rescued.. Praying for a ‘grant’ approval. Tim Tebow recently received 100 million dollars from the US government towards aid for these type of girls. It is by invitation that we would get an audience with Tim’s foundation. Ask the Lord for AH to have favor and open doors. [email protected]

AH boys and girls playing soccer in our neighborhood, across the street from the crematorium also pictured is an apartment house for university students needing Christ in their lives. our AH property does join with this field.

Nan’s story; 2005-We found her growing up in the Golden Triangle one of the largest opium-producing areas in the world, since 1950’s . Most of the people in that area were addicted and Nan’s father was a village Christian that also helped others to sweat drugs out using a clay body oven. Nan’s mother died and his new wife did not like her which is common, worked her hard, did not feed her, beat her and sold her to work for others. Continue Reading

ABBA HOUSE – THAILAND – TEEN DRUG REHAB PRISON

Over five hundred believers saw Jesus after His resurrection and heard Him to say as He ascended to wait for the Holy Spirit to come and complete His work inside each and every one with power from on high, young, old, men and women, all races saying who ever believes that Jesus is Lord shall be saved. Jesus also said for us to go into all the world (not just your own particular country) and ask others to follow Him. Abba House-Thailand has been successful in hosting for two decades youth teams from around the world to come and confirm Christ commandment mentioned above. This is our top priority above humanitarianism (human trafficking). Pictured below Is just one of several evangelical outreaches we attend with or without teams on a regular bases, not only leading others to Christ but water baptizing them and disciplining them. Back in the day this twenty year old girl from America was chosen to preach the sermon this day and give an altar call. There are times where we need to intervene due to a misunderstanding but very rare. It is also rare that no one partakes in the invitation, as this is the first time that many of these teens at this drug rehab prison for boys have heard of hope-freedom from addiction-a second chance in life through Jesus and His Holy Spirit. Many of these teens have been sexually abused, trafficked, etc. That is why we found ourselves in this institution in the first place. Thanks to our partners and friends and God’s favor over this ministry. The Thai government staff here are having meetings at this time of covid 19 as to when we can return. needs your prayers.
